I'm planning on redoing my first ever backpacking trip from prince creek to stehekin heading up into the mountains in between. I think 5-7 days would be enough time to enjoy it properly with maybe one night in stehekin, the burgers and beer at the lodge are a religious experience after some time in the backwoods. It'll be late July or august. I'm hopping a train from spokane to wenatchee then there's a bus from there to chelan for the steep price of $1 then about $30-$40 round trip for the ferry to prince creek. I wouldn't mind some company if there's any takers. It's a spectacular trip and the reason I fell in love with backpacking. There's some good fishing and swimming to be had too.

Fantastic location and sounds like a great trip. July/August though? Likely 100+ degrees and rattlesnakes. That's a perfect May trip if I remember right.

Only saw one snake last time at that time of year.. I don't mind the heat, in fact I kinda like it. I'd be up for early June though too if that works with someone's schedule better. Not many bugs or bears later in year though

I would like to see more info on it.. Its kinda close to my planned Wonderland trip.. but since when has that stopped me

The ferry webpage, google views of the north end of the trail: here. if you want i can map it out in mapsource or TOPO! and get that to you. what dates are your wonderland trip? I'm in the early stages of planning that one as well
