Kayak/Hanging for a week on the Mississippi River

    Hello All,
Just wanted to share a few photo's and insight that I have gained from all of you on the latest trip I took in June. I set out on a Mississippi River Trip in my Current Design Kestrel kayak and ENO hammock. Put the Kayak in on the Chippewa River just north of Nelson, WI on Monday, June 18th and paddle to Onalaska, WI. Spent four night on islands along the way and was joined by my Brother on Wednesday.
With a couple of the DIY projects, my HANGING nights get better with each trip. Thank You for all the information and support. I hope you enjoy a few of the photo's.

    Jim

Looks like a great trip. I live on the lower end of that behemoth and while I paddle a lot, I haven't been brave enough to venture a run down its muddy southern waters.

nice pics and thanks a ton for sharing!!

How do you like the dry fly tarp? I have one that came with my ENO onelink but felt it to be a bit small- though I've not tried it in rainy conditions. it looks like you got some rain in one of the pics. Did the tarp keep your head and feet dry?

    Toygun,
Yes, we had rain one night on the trip and stayed dry. I have been hanging for the past 3 years and have been thru a couple of MAJOR rain storms with high wind. I have been very happy with the dry fly, it has served me very well.
