I'm planning on teaching a cobra stitch for the survival bracelets. If someone else knows a different stitch, I welcome the chance to learn something new!

Like Ronald Reagan said, "trust, but verify".

Sew proper stitches and should be no problem for a few hangs or spare straps on the cheap.
    *EDIT*

Yikes, sorry for the bad info. I checked the straps I originally purchased and found they are 500lbs breaking strength and 167lbs load limit. I was at 205-210 lbs when started using and at last use I was at 195lbs.
There are still no signs of impending doom. Still remember to hang only as high as willing to fall

I knew I read something on the package I didn't like.

You may not see any signs of wear until one night they will just burst!

I got mine at Arrowhead Equipment for $7.00 ready to go.

Yes, that load limit scares many away, as for any product. I have found on most anything that it is a very conservative estimate. I don't jump in the hammy to give quick or fast bursts of psi to the load, only static load from my static body(hehe) so I'm good with the breaking strength at 500lbs. I'll keep going until failure

I'll try to fall quietly at the hang or maybe set up a videocam just in case. Always fun around the campfire.

Do we have a triangle this year? If not I can bring the cow bell again.

Good question! That triangle was handy!
We may need both this year to relay the signal all around the lake with so many hangers!
