    Love my Lite Owl

I went to a hang last month and had an opportunity to lay in a fellow hangers lite owl. Long story short....I left with the lite owl I love this thing. I've been using my Hennessy (and have been very happy with it,) but I'm in the process of getting the WL bugnet and Tadpole tarp to complete the package. Anyway, I just thought I'd share.

    The Lite Owl is awesome!

Tried the lite owl at a group hang, thank you Flatline, now it looks like I will be purchasing one. It was a super flat lay for me. Very comfortable. Now time to save up the funds.

The Lite Owl is now my favorite hammock. I ended up getting a bug net for it too. For me it's even more comfortable than my Blackbird.

Got my finger on the trigger for a lite owl, how do the standard tarps work out on coverage with the 11' hammocks? I'm using a 10' 10" HG 4S.

I like my Lite Owl. I'd recommend it. It has excellent lower back support, in my case anyway.

It will work... but your tolerances will be tight. As long as the whoopie slings are fed through the ridgeline D-rings and the hammock is close to the apex of the tarp, you'll be OK. If the hammock is hung low, it has to be exact. Hanging low produces exposure risks.

Personally, I've settled on a 108" hammock ridgeline. If I go without a ridgeline on the hammock, the distance between the gathered ends is approximately 110". I switched to a tarp with a 144" ridgeline. So far so good.

I have the HG 4S and I'm using the Lite Owl with a 110" ridgeline and it just fits. Although things are tight I don't really worry about coverage because if things get bad I can just close up the end and all is good again.
