Hammock Gear Custom Wide 20°F Burrow TQ.
$200 USD + Post.
Aussies pay $10 postage, will post world wide for $30 USD. (It will probably cost more but I'll absorb the cost)
I had this made to suit ground and hammock camping. Sad to see this one go as it's been the best sleeping bag/TQ I have owned so far.
Black outer with silver inner.
6" wider than standard, 56" total width at shoulders. I'm 5'11", 78kgs and 40" chest. This TQ has plenty of width for ground camping, it wraps right around you except for a small 6" gap at your back. (Which is on the pad anyway if you ground camp)
2oz Overfill. (14oz total fill)
At the time of purchase this had the 900+ fill upgrade which actually made this a 15°F quilt + the overfill for added warmth (It was an option then that you had to pay more for over 800 fill)
It has 2" baffles but the single side loft is over 3" as you can see in the picture (Toilet roll for universal loft comparator)
Sorry but the snapped/closed up picture is lame and was straight after I pulled it from the stuff sack, I hadn't allowed it to loft at all which I know I should have for the picture.
Snap footbox but I had Stormcrow add an extra 2 snaps so it closes up to above knee height if you want. This is really helpful when it's used on a ground pad.
Also it has two pairs of loops on each edge so you can bungie it closed around you when ground camping.
Weight is 687 grams or 24.2oz. Comes in the original ripstop stuff sack.
I've slept in this at -°7C and was toasty (Which coincidentally was right on the 20°F rating). I wouldn't hesitate taking it well under this. The overfill and high quality down really make this a warm TQ.
I recieved this TQ January 2011. Has seen around 20 nights use all up but I hand washed it with down wash and dried it properly in March just gone.
Allways stored uncompressed in a large cotton sack in a wardrobe in the house. Smoke free user and house.
Hammock Gear 20°F 3/4 Phoenix UQ with 2oz Overfill.
$160 USD + Post.
Aussies pay $10 postage, will post world wide for $30 USD. (It will probably cost more but I'll absorb the cost)
3/4 Length Hammock Underquilt.
Black outer, silver inner.
2oz Overfill (10oz total fill)
Same as the TQ, this had the 900+ fill upgrade which actually made this a 15°F quilt + the overfill for added warmth.
2" baffles.
It's a bit hard to picture loft on a differencial cut UQ as they are made to have constant loft when on the hammock, But flat this thing has around 4". On the hammock it's around 2.5-3" with the overfill.
Weight is 530 grams or 18.6oz.
I was using this UQ at -7°C combined with the TQ. As I said, I wouldn't hesitate to take this UQ much lower as with the overfill it's a very, very warm UQ.
Best thing is with the hammock gear UQ's is the ease of venting if you don't need all that warmth, Just slide if forwards/backwards on the suspension and you can vent heat easily.
Recieved this one in December 2010 and it's only been used for about 9 nights (I had a summer set that too so my camping was spread over both sets)
I will sell both quilts (TQ & UQ) as a set posted worldwide for $400 USD
Paypal for payment if international. Aussies can use paypal, money order, bank deposit or COD.
Email me if your interested or PM. Email is a little quicker for me as I can do it straight from my phone. PM's I need to log on for which might take me a few hours if I'm in a location with dodgy phone service as the net is very slow then.
