Are Hennessy Hammocks double layered? One of my co-workers has been eyeing one up and knowing that I am a hammocker has been peppering me with questions.
He is a really experienced backpacker, and has already decided that he is going to start out by using a pad for a while in his hammock. I have explained that double layer hammocks play better with pads, however, being a Blackbird user, I have no idea if Hennessys are double layered.

With the exceptions of the Deep Jungle and Deep Jungle XL, no. Hennessys are single-layer otherwise.
However, apparently, Hennessy has started adding shock cord to the inside of their hammocks to hold their proprietary pad in place inside. I can't see that it wouldn't work with a regular pad, but I have an older model that lacks the shock cord, so I can't give a first-hand account of it.
