I having been researching hammock stands for my home, and different designs people have shared here on the forums, and have decided to make my own.
I will be hooking up an ENO double nest, with the stock rope and 'biners. My question is, do I have to have suspension in order to hook up to the stand (all the ones I have seen on here require suspension) or it is feasible for me to screw eye hooks into the beams and clip right into the hooks?

No that's a simple idea, I'd do it if I had that kind of stand. I use the turtledog stand...well starting tonight, I just completed it this morning.

Yes. And no.
Of course you can clip directly into the stand, but for that to be satisfactory, your eye bolts will have to be at the right height and distance apart. Exactly. A daunting task.
