Can we agree that the 11 x 10 Vertex fly, the topic of this thread, cannot be valued at less, with new hammock tree straps added, at less than $130. Not best price, retail price.
If so, the buyer won't sell his new NX-250 for $180. I'm not surprised, as I don't believe they've resold that inexpensively in the For Sale forum.
I'm not touting or shilling the seller. But he seems to inflate values a little, about 10%, for everything that he has sold or resold.
So, I'm not offended. I'm not waiting to be as impressed, either, as I think I should be by more than 1% of what I read here or elsewhere is declared awesome. Not a religion-related insistence, mind you. Just my own old sense of proportion.
Alas, my effort to snag a bargain came to naught.
This new NX-250 with Vertex fly upgrade and tree straps sold for $445, shipped.
Should I check to see if I have enough homeowner's insurance to cover my holdings in Clark hammocks, now that I learn they can sell for so much?

I do want another NX 250/Vertex Fly combo, but as resale is so high I will definitely buy new from Clark, at least there is a place to go back if something is amiss. I want the new unit for my wife. We are strongly considering relocating to Panama, and in the mountain areas, the nights are cool, bugs can be an issue, but the views are out of this world. I am not sure how many years we will plan on being there, but I want Clark quality while I'm there. Probably would use them 8 to 10 times a month.
I have the vertex with the nx250 and love it, its large enough that I can tie one side of the tarp up and make a nice awning for myself...
We both know I have to kill you now, you'll just have to imagine the fire!
