I spent the night in the hammock while the rest of the family slept on beds inside while we were at camp last week.
View of the sunrise in the morning (I was to comfy to get out of the hammock for a better picture)

I spent 4 days kayaking, fishing, and of course, hammocking around Cranberry Lake, NY in the Adirondack Mountains. Incredible.

I need a boat rigged up just like that! Loved the video thanks for sharing.
Where the trail ends the adventure begins!
Annual August canoe-camping trip in Algonquin Provincial Park this year included 2 nights (out of 16) sleeping in a hammock. Most nights spent in tent (as we have for at least 15 years) but took along a TRD Big Mozzi + tarp just to try it out -- this little diamond tarp kept me dry in a heavy (though windless) thunderstorm. Success!

After Algonquin, we drove down to Kentucky to see the total eclipse, and camped in hammocks down there....

Now I really want to try out my DIY 11 ft. hammock but need to finish my DIY tarp and make a bug net. Oh, and an UQ, and a top quilt, and.....
I hung my hammock at 11,945' on Mt Elbert. That was according to gps but I'm not sure it was 100% accurate. I'll see if I can find the spot on a topo map. I may have been the highest hammocker in the US last week.
The trees I was on were just beyond the ones here.
I made sure to pick some sturdy trees and even padded the tarp lines with bark I found. It was a fun experience. I was really surprised at how big the trees were right at treeline.

Give a man enough ripstop and he'll hang himself.
