I was tempted tp try and hang under that tree but the trunk was so thick i didn't think even the long HH treestraps would make it around!

I think that tree's pretty much dead, so you could get away with not using treehuggers. Although that would put your ropes at risk. And that's assuming you carry enough spare rope to get around that monster trunk.
