Walking Stick? That looked like a "Walking Log".

Nice trip. Great pictures, thanks for posting.

I took a second look myself, because the first time, I said to myself, "That trekking pole doesn't look very long!" A second look made me realize Brute's talking about what we call a praying mantis at the bottom of the 6x6 post (don't know if that's its real name). He calls it a "walking stick". Like a WALKING....STICK

Great reports, Brute!!!! Sorry you had to bail on your night out solo, but certainly the better choice than suffering all night! Thanks for posting!

That's what we always called them was walking sticks... To me a preying mantis has to have the little folded up hands and is usually greenish in color... This was dark brown with purple almost and looks like a twig except when i saw him he was crossing the path...

    More pictures for clarification...

Great report. Sounds like lots of wet fun. So, what was on your ipod that got you up and out of there so quickly?

I listen to only Christian music... Now a lot of people hear that and think slow and old school songs... My mix that night was Lecrae, mercy me, mikeschair, mandisa, trip lee, jaeson ma... Just to list a few... I'm a music nut...

Hey Brute, thanks for the great report! Lot's of good real world experience in there!

Speaking of that kind of music, have you ever listened to a fellow named Fernando Ortega? Very powerful stuff!
