Hammock camping and kayak fishing North, GA

I have a Jackson Cuda, Looking to do some Hammock camping and kayak fishing trips up here in North GA, Thinking Nottley lake for stripers when it cools off in the Fall and maybe Chatuge for bass. Some outer Islands on both lakes to camp on. Maybe some river trips also. Anyone interested? or have any ideas of where would be a good place to kayak fish and hammock camp up here in the Blue ridge Mountains. Give me a shout. I'm always open to new places to Hammock camp and Kayak fishing.

Cool! I知 going to check out Lake Winfield Scott Recreation Area the third week of August. I would like to do it in the middle of the week with less crowds. I知 going to combine it with the SKA August Bass fishing tournament. I値l be hammock camping overnight and kayak fishing most the day. If your interested let me know.

I have a WS TARPON 120 and would love to go if you find a place. The Taccoa is a good float but I'm not sure how much of it is in the NF before it hits the lake.

Let me know what yall think. I would like to do this trip in mid August sometime. If we could do it during the week to avoid crowds it would be best.
    Thanks Al,

Really good trout fishing at both Deep Hole and also Sandy Bottom. Deep hole has a nice campground but is nearly ALWAYS full. Sandy Bottom has some camp sites but is typically less packed.... other than people coming to trout fish.

Thanks JBRanger good to know. I thought we would try primitive camping at Butt Bridge: 8.3 miles down river. I read there is a area to camp there.
Do you have any knowledge on this area of the river.
