I am heading South, See you all soon.
Butters and I should be at the fire tower around 10:00 - 10:30 tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
There are nearly a dozen here at the pond tonight. Some of us are turning in. See you all tomorrow. Zzzzz
Good night folks. Those who aren't here yet have a safe trip.
I went on home tonight. For those who had not arrived yet please accept my regrets that I didn't get to see you all. Going into Jones Branch took a toll on my heel spurs and knee. by the time I got down the trail back to the car just a few hundred yards I was feeling pain in my knee and by the time I made it to the car the pain was all the way up the back of my leg from my knee and on the same foot the spurs were inflamed.
Have a good time and stay dry if you can. I will miss spending time with all of you.
You shoulda paddled there...
Get well Mule.
I just got back from the hang. Thursday was nice and warm- lotsa skeeters after me. Started raining dark early Fri morning and continued till late night. Bright sunshine this Sat morning. I don't remember everyone's names (sorry!) but I am glad to have met you all. Learned lots of tricks and got some very good ideas on a remake of my hammock sock.
Here's a few pictures. I also have a short campfire in the rain gathering and discussion of underquilts I'll put up in a bit.
There were several kilt wearers there - they looked surprisingly comfortable, and yes, we know whats under a Scotsman's kilt!
