I was out hanging and a bird just crapped on my hammock. This ever happen to anyone else? Talk about ruining good times.

I get a plop or two on my tarp just about every time. Which is why I'm in the habit of using a tarp even with no chance of rainfall. Also keeps out bits of grit, pine needles, etc that falls out of the tree when you shake it while moving around in your hammock.
Yeah, I definitely would set up a tarp if I was out camping, but I was just hanging in my yard.
Couple of weeks ago I'd just put up in the yard a new bugnet enclosure I'd made for use at Boy Scout summer camp. Went into the house for something, 5 minutes, bird had crapped on it by the time I was back. Some spatter on the hammock which wiped up easily. I wiped up the bugnet too, but the spots it hit now have some serious discoloration! I'm going to have to put it through the washing machine I think.

Couple weeks ago I'd just setup in Jefferson National in an area with a super high canopy and just got comfortable when plop... right on my chest not two inches from my chin!
Just be thankful...
My tarps been hit!
I have had birds land and "hang" out on my tarps ridge line!
No pigs though!

My forum name is Fish<><; I'm in the navy; and I hate sleeping on the ground. If I didn't need ground to walk on or measure resistance to, I think I could happily give it up.
Some say it's a sign of good luck!
