Video: John Rock Group Hang 2012

This was my second group hang and probably my favorite so far. The food, fellowship, and fun was wonderful. If you haven't gotten to go to a group hang, you're missing out.

I arrived around 11:45am and made it back to my car around 11:30am the next day. The hike in was ~1 mile. Count in the round trip to John Rock (~3miles) and the trail run (~5 miles) and my total millage for the trip was ~10 miles.

Thanks again, Hangin' Burrito and Running Feather for a great weekend.

Thanks for the video. The Rochettes and I could not make it this year but it was nice to see at least a dozen friendly faces in the video. The JR hang is a great one, HB & RF (the Saint Pisgah altar boys) create the best family friendly hang in this neck of the woods.

Sorry that you missed it. Those two sure can put on a show. I'll see you around sometime.

Good work on the chilli! Good to see Hanging Burrito, he’s the master of the hammock hanging foot rest. How super cool it must be to have all those hammocks hanging around. A big hello all the way back at you, FireInMyBones! I’ll be getting one of them there tarps when they make’em in olive green.

Ear plugs are a good idea, lol! Saw blade on the pooper scooper is a good idea. Someone snoring in their hammy, is someone enjoying their hammy (doesn't do fellow hangers much good, but still). Moving the under quilt high up to the head end helps minimize the head squash.

Great to see a group hang in action, thanks for the video, FireInMyBones!
