    Review \ Tips:
    • Hammock is comfortable, and has a flat lay
    • The material is a medium heavy, and warmer then ripstop
    • SymiBird patterns are pretty tight. (Thank you TheXringHunt)
    • There was some futzing to make things align
    • The 8ft hammock plan is big enough for a 6 foot person
    • Has a big foot print (dwarfs my WBBB)
    • Pink color may cause temporary blindness
    • 2 Pound total weight
    • Leave the hemmed edges on the tablecloth body, or heat seal them right away
    • Look at adding a mini-spreader bar to it

Very nice! I'd love to hear your opinion of this hammock and build after you've used it in the field.

    Thanks for sharing,

"Has a big foot print (dwarfs my WBBB)"

Can expound on that thought? Does this mean the hammock is shorter but wider than a WBBB or is something else going on?

    Knotty,
The base of the hammock was made from a 90x126 tablecloths. The Total length is about 125", with a 103" ridge line. <Link>

When you put this hammock next to the WBBB it is about the same size, but once you get in, it seems to be a lot deeper. The netting almost remain flat on the top, and the sides wrap around you. In the WBBB i can sit up a little bit and see out. With this one I almost have to sit all the way up to peer out.

HOWEVER... it is very comfortable. One major plus for this hammock is that you don't stick to the taffeta fabric like rip stop nylon.

Is that because you used the full 90" width of the fabric?
