    Greetings from Northern Indiana

    Greetings,
I recently discovered the fun of hammock camping. I also recently discovered this website. I am particularly interested in the DIY section of the forums. As a paramedic by day and outdoor enthusiast by night I love being prepared and meeting new challenges. I just recently finished a 3 day trip to North Manitou island with my fiancée and earlier this year (early May) did a 5 day hike on the Manistee river trail (MI). well I'm off to browse the forums!
We follow where the Swamp Fox guides,His friends and merry men are we;Andwhen the troop of Tarleton rides,We burrow in the cypress tree. The turfy hammock is our bed,Our home is in the red deer's den,Our roof, the tree-top overhead,For we are wild and hunted men.

Welcome, I am just up the road a piece. You will enjoy this forum. I paddle the Manistee regularly and hike the NCT some. Keep an eye out for some hangs in the area, great way to compare and contrast gear.

    Welcome from Martinsville.
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."
