The link that you posted says its 175 lb limit, and is listed as accessory cord. I would be seriously leery about hanging a hammock using it. Tarps fine, guy lines great, but HYOH. I catch flak from some members for hanging on dyna-glide.

Remember that with climbing the big ropes have two different classes, Static (no stretch) and dynamic (light stretch to absorb falls). The majority of the accessory cords are all static unless marked as dynamic. The Bluewater should be static. I have some from the same store. River Sports also has a great selection of ropes, cords, etc.

Well I found the breaking limit of this stuff. Not by accident either. My brother and I tested it by stressing the like with linear force (not bouncing the line). It snapped at 215LBS. This was after leaving it outside in the weather for 3 days with that weight on it. No I dont have pics. I was more interested in getting work done. I havent tried it as suspension for my rig and dont think I ever will, but I am using it for my tarp lines (both ridge and guy lines). It stretches just enough without being a pain. The only real problem I've found with it is that it LOVES to tangle. Kind of have to be careful when stowing it with the tarp. I've also had trouble finding other lines to make a prusik knot out of that will hold on this stuff. Its slippery and I have not been able to use the rope on itself without slipping. I did find that my softer lines, cheap stuff, works very well and bites in good and doesnt slip.

If you get a chance to get some dacron or other polyester solid braid you might like that even better.

ACK!!! And I mean ACK!!! I love this stuff and hate this stuff. It's really nice cord but oh man does it tangle like crazy if you bundle it up in a snake skin! More often than not I find myself trying to untangle after running the ridgeline on my tarp and trying to tie out. If I ever got into a hurry I'd be in a world of hurt. Need to find something that wont tangle. It's annoying and frustrating. On the flip side I love this stuff based on weight and strength! If I could figure out a way to keep it from tangling I'd love it. Unless I find a solution it will be replaced very soon.
