Well, if you're like me, one of the features you like best about your Superfly is using it in porch mode. Typically I keep the Superfly in porch mode by day, and close it down to (I guess you would call it) tent mode by night.
The only trick with this has been having an efficient simple way to convert the fly easily back and forth without having to do much adjusting or moving of stakes. Actually, any way you look at it, the conversion is easy but I'm interested in hearing how you all make the conversion. I'm sure others have better ideas than I do. I've been using shock cord on the two tie outs where I put the poles, and I keep slack in the cords so I can easily just insert the bottom of my trek poles in the triangles attached to the tie outs and stretch the shock cord to the right distance to raise the porch. I would really like to do away with the shock cord for two reasons. 1. It leaves too much slack in the tarp when not in porch mode and causes sag it to sag and flap a bit in the wind. 2. It just looks rigged up to have a bunch of extra shock cord dangling.
So, enlighten me How do you handle the conversion back and forth? I'm sure you creative hangers have come up with some pretty useful solutions that would help me.
...feel free to include pics of your setup.
