Have Shamu and Baby Orca Passed Away?

For some time I have been considering purchasing a lighter weight alternative to my HG 0 deg Incubator to use during the mid seasons when my trip requires a weight reduction. I have been bouncing back and forth between a down quilt with a higher temp rating or one of Macentyre's IX Underquilts (sold by Tree to Tree Trail Gear). During my many website comparisons I have seen that TTTG refers you to Mac for orders. Today, I see that Shamu and Baby Orca are no longer shown on TTTG's website. Are they gone forever?????? Tell us it ain't so Mac!....

Let's hope not! I've been using a MacIX UQ all summer and they are perfect (for me) when the lows are in the upper 50s/low 60s. And at 8oz for a full length double layer they are hard to beat weight wise.

This is a note on the Molly Mac Gear Website.

On the shelf at Tree to Tree Trail Gear

Note: If the inventory at Tree to Tree Trail Gear is out of stock, and they have not scheduled manufacturing for replacement, their web site will indicate that you should contact MacEntyre to place an order.

You are absolutely correct and I mentioned that in my original post when I said:

"TTTG refers you to Mac for orders"

But today, when I access their website, both of these items, and the note directing you to contact Mac, are gone. Yesterday they were there.I will send Mac a PM if he doesn't chime in on this post. Not quite ready yet to pull the trigger.

I got an email from MacEntyre two days ago... he started with my Baby Orca.

Some time ago I bit the bullet and decided I NEEDED (ahum) a new tarp.

Looked at TtT Trailgear and Mac's site and was confused. TtT Trailgear refered to Mac's site and vice versa. So I send them both and email and Mac responded that he could make me one. I took the offer and am looking forward to a new UQ....

I let the people behind both sites answer why the sites changed. We can speculate all we want but I think it is best to let them answer it if needed.

    Hope this helped a bit.

TTTG has Shamu back up today. Must be a web issue.
