We are 5 days away!

Just a quick set of directions for those that havent been to this park, or this trailhead....

From Sullivan at hwy 44, take 185 south east.
Look for the signs and enter the park on the right.
go left at the fork, back under the hwy
there is a parking lot on the left just past the playground, this is where we'll meet.
Look for my white Jeep wrangler.

Let's meet at 10am and plan to hit the trail by 10:30am at the latest.

Well my cousin and I are gonna head out Friday to get a nother day in my question is there are many campsites along the trail which one are we staying at. The closer to the trailhead the better.

There are 8 total. I think there are 3 within the first 3-4 miles.
I cant say which one we'll stay at because one might be taken already, plus I figured we'd pick one out as a group.

You guys could stay at the first one which comes up pretty quick, then just meet us Saturday morning at the trailhead.

well we will probably hit the first or second one. And we will be going in Friday so we should be able to save a spot for everyone and if y'all want to move to another spot we will follow you. Just trying to keep the hiking to a minimum.

The first one is pretty nice. It's right by the creek. It was taken when I was there last, though, so I didnt get to check out the tree situation there.

about how far in is that campsite cause a creek would be great. also is there anyone bringing a filter that might be willing to share to fill others water bottles since my new filter isnt gonna make it here in time?

The first site is within a mile, I believe. Not sure about the filter. I plan to just pack the water I need.
