    New from Jersey

I was looking for a new tarp for my net tent (ground setup) and stumbled onto Shug's videos. I now have an ENO DN with whoopie slings/tree huggers, a wilderness logics bug net and an Etowah 10x10. I've used it on one kayak overnighter and im hooked.

Welcome from the Jersey Shore. Looks like you have a pretty sensible starting setup - good choices. You can get a lot of nights out of your rig.

I'm probably heading down to the Pine Barrens this weekend for a hike/hang. Friday and Saturday the lows will be 62 & 63, with highs of 73 & 80. Finally a break from the heat!

A couple of things you should put on your calendar: Fall MAHHA (Mid-Atlantic Hammock Hangers Association) Oct. 19-20, 2012 @ Gathland State Park, MD - the premier fall Northeast hanging event.

And don't forget the NJ Winter Hang 2013 in January at Batona Camp, Pine Barrens, NJ. Last year's pot luck dinner was the bomb - the theme was bacon. This year the theme is goat (well, that's my vote). Can't wait to have goat rice-crispie cakes!

And another welcome from the Jersey Shore, southern tip, though now I spend most my time in Texas. With 103 degrees this afternoon, I'd rather be on the beach in Wildwood Crest ...

    Great place. Glad you're here.

Thanks for the welcomes. By the time I actually need bottom ins I hope to have something better. Hopefully I will be off for those dates. I am very familiar with the pines. Hiking, camping, canoeing and four wheeling

    Howdy.

A kayaker? Look up HF member Kayak Karl from "south south jersey".

And don't let the Guv get in your hammock, unless it is a double layer model. [Is that politically disallowed, or just "politically incorrect", ?.....he asks the moderators, about this cheap shot at the Guv]

Welcome from SE PA. Your setup seems to be like mine. I didn't like the pad in the DN, so I got an UQ after my first night on the trail. Working on a DIY TQ now
