Count us as probably. Gotta double check the calendar with the Mrs. I'll return the orange tarp from the John Rock Hang.
This'll be loads of fun.

I'm in and I'll do a river trip again!

Is there an outfit in HS that rents kayaks?
I sure would like to make it but I will just be getting back from a trip to CO and UT. Just can't swing it. Hot Springs was my first hang and I got to meet a bunch of great people. I highly recommend this event for all out there.
I am new to hammock camping and look forward to doing it as much as I can but I have lots of questions. I've spent a lot of time fine tuning my DIY hammocks (one for me and one for my son) and testing them at home but each time I play with them and each time I read the forums I wind up with more questions. It would be great to at least meet some of you in person and spend some time looking over real hammock camper setups and getting advice. As payment for tapping into your collective knowledge, I will bring some bottles of my famous homemade, locally sought-after Smokin' Joes Hazmat Hotsauce.
My son and I might only be able to come by and visit. Is that OK? What would be a good time to do that considering whatever activities you have planned?
Finally, does this site or any nearby sites have electric hookups? My biggest handicap right now as far as camping goes is having to use my CPAP machine overnight. That limits me to campsites near an outlet. If electric is available nearby I would love to stay overnight.
Thanks in advance. -Sarge Greer, SC

Sarge,
My wife is renting a cabin there, and her and the girls will be staying in that.
I don't know if your wife would want to get one or not, but it's also an option. I think the RV sites have electrical & sewer.
Looking forward to meeting you & your son, AND trying out some of that hot sauce!! Oh yeah!!

Thanks Loki and Burrito. I checked out the link and see they have sites with electric and water near the river. I'll reserve one of those.
I told my son (13) about the group hang and where it was and he is super eager to go. I know it will be a good time. We will probably drive up from SC saturday morning and stay all day/overnight.
Do you think site 409 will be the focal point and meeting area or will those details be announced when this gets closer.
Looking forward to meeting all of you.
