Lightweight blanket for TQ?

I've decided to let my brother use my 2lb Marmot Aspen Minimalist sleeping bag for a long-weekend hike in the allegheny NF. Temps shouldn't dip below 60 and was hoping to use something that weighs less than 2lbs. The tech blanket weighs 3 and was thinking fleece... No way in hell I can afford a down TQ, yet.

Suggestions?

I've used one of those fleece mummy liners in 65-70 degrees and fared just fine. It really depends on how cold or hot a sleeper you are. I'm on the cold side.

PU a fleece bag at Wally World, about $10, and 18 oz. Cut down one side to make a quilt w/foot box. Works for me to 60. You can go cooler by wearing more clothes, or LJ's.

I'm a hot sleeper, so 60 degrees doesn't even register as cold to me. I've been using a lightweight blanket I "borrowed" from United Airlines and it works great.

In the 50s I just use a light wool or fleece blanket.

hikerman, have him pack some lightweight long underwear to slip into in case he gets chilled by whatever during the night. I pack a set of long underwear year round here in the White Mountains. Just in case.

army surplus poncho liners work great as top blankets in the warmer months. cheap too.

+1 on the Poncho Liner. Way cheap and effective.

It's bulky if you don't trim it though. May or may not be an issue.

Ditto on the military poncho liner. A true military one will weight in at about 16oz and you can pick them up on ebay for about $20 with shipping
