Bahahanger I'm with you! I do the same thing unless I meet up with a friendly group that I feel comfortable with!
More often than not I hike for the solitude! I hike solo more than with others!

Whatever happened to our member that was out of a place to live, had a small period before his induction and was stealth camping close to work BUT he was hanging high and woke up 3 months later in the hospital because he had come out of his hammock and fell I forget how many feet, hitting branches on the way down. One of his friends who was making food drops found him unconscious and they took him to hospital where they put him in a coma till he healed up a bit.

Whatever happened to that stealth hanger. Did I get that story pretty much right? Did I dream the whole thing up, I'm pretty sure I didn't.

Yeah, yeah, yeah!!!! ---THIS GUY But the part about waiting to join up (Marines, I think (??)) was ANOTHER guy I'm pretty sure---He was hanging in the woods behind where he worked, wasn't he?

I also wonder what happened to that coma guy, Mr. Clean.... .

I 'Stealth Camp' completely legally. I just don't want to be bothered by interacting with anyone, so I go stealth and establish a nice quiet bubble in the wilderness. Not illegal, just a touch anti-social

Couldn't have said it better myself.
