    Another tarp pole mod

I received a PM regarding my tarp pole mod that appears in the following photo that I posted in the TurtleDog Stand thread:

Because it might be of interest to others, I thought I would post my response here. The pole mod that I made for my HG Cuben tarp is based on projects described in these threads:

I posted the details on how I made my carbon fiber poles here.

How do you locate the thread using those reference numbers? Just search the numbers themselves..?

I thought that looked like cuben, and love the mods. If I ever add tie out to my tarp I'm stealing your idea. Thanks for sharing!

The references to the threads should show up as links in your browser. Just click on the link to go to the thread. No need to search.

As you will see from the other four threads I linked to, the idea is definitely not mine. I just borrowed the concept, then set out to find materials to make poles to fit my tarp.

The spreader poles do a real nice job of opening up more space under the tarp. I tried (not very succesfully) to capture this in the two photos below, comparing the space under the tarp with and without the pole mod installed.
