Yep - the Eldorado tie-outs don't match up with the Nest tie-outs, but it still worked fine in the ~50F temps I tested down to. I don't usually stake out my HH anymore so I don't think the tie-outs are necessary, but it would be a simple mod to add tabs to the Nest and Blackbird if you wanted to.

Agree with Pan - JRBs work on Warbonnets.

1.7 is a 70d taffeta with a dwr, really nice feeling fabric especially after it breaks in.
the 1.1's are 40d (i think) the black is first qual parachute 1.1, seems the highest quality of the 3. the black also has a high quality dwr, the green seconds 1.1 is untreated. when the fabric is spread out, you can see the shade varies alot even amongst a small piece. still the same general color, just lighter and darker shades.

Brandon I just want to say good luck with all this. Your designs look unique and really well thought out. I know you must have tinkered a lot before you finalized the design. Your fiancé is still a very nice hammock model.

Dutch, I'd be willing to be the model threw out a few 'remarks.'
I'm going on how my spouse would react....
Take a close look at some of the photos. See her texting!
    'Not again Brandon!'
BTW Brandon, you should take all those photos down so I'm not tempted....

    Warbonnet pre-order

The Blackbird hammock looks very interesting. Can someone clarify for me the purpose of the double layer design? Is it solely to provide a sleeve to insert a foam pad into? Thanks.

w.r.t. to the design options WBG offers, I'd be unsure about a 1.7 oz single layer holding me up long term (just don't know...no experience with that fabric...I'm 190 lbs...single layer 1.9 DWR is fine) but have been using a double layer 1.1 oz hammock that is just fine.

Going that route then I'd get surety in fabric strength and a pad sleeve to boot.

Also, maybe no midge etc can sting through two layers of fabric close to each other?
