point taken. I am but a neophyte at this hammocking thing. I can yet enumerate the number of nights I've slept in a hammock on my fingers and toes, and still could if a limb were amputated.

that's why we hang around the forums (that, and to get through dull meetings at work). To sit at the feet of the masters and absorb the wisdom so patiently shared.

Well, get to it! I bet you can still use a sliderule while swinging in your hammock doing google searches of HF.

I don't get out on the trails too often (too many jobs), but I am in my hammock(s) in the yard at least every other night trying stuff. It's not as much fun as being out in the woods, desert, mountains, etc. but it's a good "fix".

Well shoot, why not? I used a sliderule in high school, my wifi signal gets to the yard...

ah, but I'm guessing you don't have a significant other who asks "Tell me again why you don't want to sleep in your own bed, with your own wife tonight?"

Yeah, fair enough, no wife to hassle me. I've got neighbors that question my sanity, but that's nothing new.

I didn't necessarily mean sleeping out there for the night. Only two of my hammocks have bug netting (currently) so sleeping outside in Florida during the summer is annoying to say the least without bug protection. But, I do load-up on the OFF and hang for a couple of hours. Like I said, the hangs are mostly for experimentation and to help me climb that learning curve. I'm sure that I've already eliminated many problems/issues that I would have encountered far away from home otherwise.

Of course, I would never have been brave enough without the aforementioned "masters".

To which you reply "Because I've made this new doublenest hammock that you should be sleeping in with your own husband..."

You mean for sewing loops on the end? I use a double "X" box stitch.
