ok so i'm getting ready to order this stuff, but am unable to find the camp usa nano wire available anywhere it seems they've replaced it w/ the nano 23, but that only has a 8 or the weak side axis and i've read i'm looking for 10. in fact, i was unable to find any non-locking carabiner that had anything over 8 on the weak axis of it. help friends!

All of these questions can be answered here at Jeff's website
length of suspention rope should keep the rings under your tarp...what ever length that needs to be (determined by hammock length, tarp length)

IMO, the Nano is plenty of biner for around the tree. Other opinions vary.

    need your help on this...

Was about to buy a nylontape for a ringbuckle setup, BUT when I was standing there with 5 meters of nylontape made for strapping down transporting goods on a trailer it felt a little thin...

Will it be good enough? I dont doubt the strength of it since it would hold for about 500 Kilos.

Looks like this... yeah its blue

and no, I will but use the hooks or the other "thingy" dont know what its called in english.. or, the hook could be used...
price about 4 us$ for 5 meter nylontape with a mounted hook

first I didnt think of it, and when you wrote that you was going to dremel them of I didnt get why... but now I get it.. get them of and put a karabiner there instead? right?

    Thats brilliant...

havent found steel rings yet, but was thinking about trying triglides, they might do the trick, but I havent given up on the rings yet, have one more place to check..

yup, remove hooks and clip the caribiner there. that way it know it's rated

i think the idea to remove the hooks and keep that loop in there was somewhere in these 82 pages. i don't sew so it's by far the best option for me

After reading the entire thread in 2 days, I have just one request. Well, make that 2 requests.

Can anyone provide Cliff Notes in the different ropes used to attach to the rings? Pros and cons of Spectra, Dyneema, or others.

Second, does anyone have a couple feet of this rope they would be willing to sell or get rid of. I'm on the bigger side, so I'm thinking, for safety sake, I want to go with something in the 4mm range.
