I put together my ring buckles last night, and tested them out just now. A couple of questions:
1) Do you pull them as tight as you can, just like the original way?
2) When you go to take them down, I couldnt separate the rings to get the webbing out. Is there a good, fast way that you can get the webbing down? It took me about 10 minutes to finally get it down, and thats not going to work when I have to leave fast!

I pull mine as tight as they need to be for the hammock to hang correctly, and since I use a HH, that pretty much means 'as tight as possible'.
Do you use a carabiner on the other end of the webbing from the rings? I do, and once I unclip it and there is slack in the hang it isn't a problem to seperate the rings.
1. Yes. Pull them tight.
2. As easy way to get them loose is to pull the webbing to one side at the ring buckles. Once the webbing become misaligned it will slip loose easily.

I have the HH too, and thats what I did, just pull it tight. I also use the biners, but when the webbing is pulled as tight as i can be, the biners wont go far enough to unhook over the webbing. I didnt try very hard to unhook the biner, because I didnt think that was the problem. Ill have to try that this weekend. Is that how you do it, just pull really hard on the webbing untill you can pull the biner over?

2 methods for loosening and/or undoing the ring buckle:
1. my favorite: when threading the buckles, I pull a bight of the webbing through the rings instead of the whole loose end. To loosen and/or undo the rings buckle, just pull the free end of the bight. Just like tying a slip knot.
2. pull the free end of the webbing straight up or down so that it is at right angles to the suspension rope. That relieves the pressure of the rings enough that the webbing will slip free.
Well, I loosen mine by unclipping the biner, which causes me to use some force on the webbing. But if you mean do I tighten by pulling one the biner end, then no, I tighten by pulling through the rings. Headchange4u's suggestion above should work if you have problems getting the biner loose while it is tight, though I haven't had that problem personally.
I think it's fascinating that the ring buckles have caught on like wildfire, while the CC buckles - simpler, more reliable, and quicker IMO - have seen almost no action at all. Just had to throw in a comment there, since Tim made a big deal about me falling behind on posts

That sounds cool. This weekend, I could do one of those methods on each end, just to get a taste of each.

After seeing the ring buckle supports in action, I think it should be no surprise at all that they've caught on the way they have. They just make sense to me and I like them a lot thus far. But then again, I was surprised that the SlapStrap wasn't more popular. But now I (And my butt) understand why.
