    Ridgeline for WB edge?

What's everyones preference for their ridgeline, continuous or not ?

I'm a fan of continuous for the ease to move the tarp where I want it but when trying to create two V's at each end for my hammock, I'm struggling!

What's everyone doing with theirs ?

Dutch Stingerz with 12 feet of spliced Lash-It on each end makes for a small, light, easy-to-adjust tie-out package for a small tarp like your Edge. There's not much weight difference rom a Dutch CRL, but bulk and cord management are improved.

This video demonstrates my all time favorite way to hang my Edge tarp. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLupiOygs0s&sns=em

I use a tiny Dutch Hook on one end and a Dutch Wasp on the other. I like how easy it is to adjust and center my tarp. I'm able to easily slide it either direction after it's been hung...and I like having the V on each end to run my hammock suspension through.

IMO, there's 3 ways to do this.

you can attach a line to each end of the tarp and secure that to the tree with knots or hardware. this uses the tarp itself as a structural member. you can get a very pitch this way but it's not very adjustable for aligning with the hammock...

there's the continuous ridge line method, a' la The Ultimate Hang, using 2 carabiners and 1 prusik knot -- https://theultimatehang.com/2012/11/...s-with-a-tarp/

and then there's the continuous ridgeline where you secure a line between 2 trees and suspend then the tarp from this, generally using 2 prusik knots or connectors like the Tatos or other hardware.

I've used them all but the last method is the only one that doesn't use the tarp itself as a structural member and I feel it's a little stronger because of this. I like that it provides some measure of protection against falling sticks and it won't damage your tarp if the wind causes movement of the trees...

I mean, quite literally, that there's 20% less Dyneema to hank up with the Stingerz system compared to the Dutch CRL, which you notice more with short hang distances.
