I use a 35' CRL made out of 2.2mm Zing-it. My tarp is attached with kleimheist knots, another favored choice is a prussik knot.

    This may help you out...

with 35'....I am guessing you are using that as a ridge line?

Try this link using Dutch's Stringerz. You can use a shorter line by running the zing-it through the hammock suspension connection with the tree straps versus running around the tree.

I just use the ends of the tarp. I played around with the continuous tarp ridgeline, but I'm using paracord (it's what I've got), and a long length of paracord will stretch noticeably. However, I find no significant stretch when I tie it directly to the tarp ends, so... tarp ends.

Whichever option you go with, the 'V' (featured in the illustration above), while not crucial, is a nice feature to include. It allows the hammock suspension to rise above the tarp suspension without the two touching and rubbing together (it's incredible how the sound of tarp and hammock suspensions rubbing together transfers into the hammock--you can actually feel it ). Some people don't notice it at all, but it drives me INSANE after a while--it's a short trip
You're gonna need a bigger hammock

Yes, I use that as a continuous ridge line that I run over the top of my tarp.

You do not need to do it this way, you can run it below your tarp, or have 2 individual lines for the ends of your tarp. Whichever you prefer.

Thank you, but I cannot take credit for that illustration. It was created by Derek Hansen. I just repost his illustrations often to help people.
