    New guy from AZ

Not a whole lot of trees around me but im diving into the hobby anyway!

Ive been using an older military canvas hammock and a little one i bring along car camping that has its own frame for sometime now.

Im starting to get up north more and more and im looking at saving some weight/room in my pack and learning a few tips and tricks and actually getting into something comfortable.

Shug's videos are a great place to start (super informative and funny), plus you can check out fellow AZ hangar Dejoha's (Derek Hansen) book www.theultimatehang.com

    Both are great starting points.

    Welcome, from another AZ hanger.

    Welcome to HF.

+1 on learning from all the Shugtacular videos. Super helpful and informative.

Lots of beautiful trees around Flag. You have fallen in with, not just good people, but great people here on the forum.

Welcome to the hanging forum from the White Mountains of Arizona. Glad to see another Arizonan come aboard here. Let us know if/when you venture into the mountains, we'll get together, watch the fire and tell stories.
shug's videos are very helpful. also get Dejoha's book, The Ultimate Hang, available on Amazon and other places. I just got it, I'm a newbie hanger, too, and it's very very helpful.
You can be wet and miserable, or you can choose to just be wet.
