new member but reader for past month. I have made 3 gathered hammocks with bugnets and ridgelines. my first is a side zip with exterior ridgeline and sewnloops outside the net. it is ripstop nylon and the net is chiffon and it has a panel on the bottom for a blue closed cell pad that is halved and lays in a "t" in the pocket. it also has an internal hanging loft poclet and a sewn exterior pocket that doubles as a pouch for the hammock. the last two are bottom entry with velcro closure and internal structural ridgeline...one ripstop nylob and one polyester. all of these are for my boys because I stumbled on a HH with stock rainfly, monsoon rainfly, two snakeskins for $50. I have sewn a tapered storage bag for the inside and switched the suspension to whoopie slings. I have hung all week in my lounging hammock with whoopie slings and love it. loving all this homemade gear! I really enjoy all the posts and great people and help on this site.
