    Tarptent Rainbow for me.
I'd love to see what Henry Shires could do with hammock designs!

I was in an MSR Hubba when alone (very nice solo tent, still use it when going to music festivals and the like where you're camping in a picnic area with no trees...haven't built stands yet). When with others, used an REI T3, also a very nice tent.

I lived in the middle of the pine barrens here for a year and a half. It's a Browning 4 season tent. Went camping for 2 weeks while my new apartment was being repainted and carpeted. Once I had a ouple weeks in, I didn't want to leave, so I still went to work everyday, then came home to camp, it was awesome, and it'd be fun to do it again. Everything's covered in snow in this pic, but I had my cooking pit along with a nice fire pit, my rain catch supplied me with all my water. To shower I bought a shower tent and a military canvas shower bag/bucket, heated the water over the fire in my metal bucket and I was good to go, the enclosed shower tent and hot water made showering in the winter toasty warm.

I like your style Falkniven!A while back I spent 2yrs. in an 18ft.tee pee in Mid. Tenn. Coyotes howling and trees crashing down during storms:talk about paradigm shift. 24ft. poles during thunderstorms made me more than a little nervous tho. If I do it again I'll beef up two poles and hang a you know what!

That's crazy! I was about to buy the Rainbow before I bought my hammock. It was a toss up. Stick with old tried and true, or delve into something new. Now im hangin' and no longer complainin' (about the lumpy ground that is)

I love the MSR Hubba Hubba. It's twice as Hubba as Manchego's tent.

But I come from tipis, so this modified Golite SL4 is fun to use with a stove...

(Terrible picture of test pitch with stove...sorry...)

Nice Tipi. That's a rad road to come from! How about a hammock in the tipi? That would be sweet!
