Well, I went out yesterday for my first hang, and I made sure to bring my camera with so I could share it here. I started off just hiking in the woods, a few miles later and I decided to take a little rest, so I came across an old dam and figured it was as good a place as any
it's a good thing I'm not afraid of heights, but it was a wicked place to be
A while later and I figured I'd better find somewhere to set up a main camp, and set off towards a big hill I thought would be a good place. Along the way I also picked up some dinner
After that I set up my hammock so I could enjoy the view
You might notice the pink dog leash holding my hammock up, it was a quick solution to the fact that I did not have any rope around the house that was strong enough, me and my tail-bone found that out the first day I got it. So I was all snug and fed and ready to relax until night, but there was a boar or something out in the woods, I'm not sure exactly what it was, but it certainly didn't sound like any deer I'd heard before. So, being cautious, I decided to backtrack a few miles to where I'd napped on the dam and set up camp there, just minutes before it started storming. I actually sleep pretty well in storms and fell asleep a few minutes after, and you guys don't lie when you say it's one of the most comfortable ways to sleep.
