    Holy Cow

Why is hammocking so addictive? What's happened to me? I can't believe I own a HH Exp del whoopie sling jacksrbetter quilts 2 eno sn's with whoopie strings and an atlas strap, I have three tarps with SRL from whoopieslings.com. On top of that I'm hankering after a dangerbird and some fancy stuff as the cherry on top.

I have officially gone off the deep end...

I know, right? I NEVER felt compelled to go lay down in my tent!! But now, I can't go a day without some hammock time!!!!

You and me both. After amassing enough ground gear to outfit a boyscout troop(I'm not even involved with the boyscouts) I decided to take to the trees year round. Now I've ordered my 3rd hammock Saturday and finished my first DIY and 4th hammock last night and am still eyeballing MollyMacs bivy hammock as a 5th!

It is a virus I keep down loading on my computer. It keeps spreading from my mind to my paypal account. Some mornings, I come here before I go check my boring email. Since it has me sleeping outside I don't need to check the weather. The only good news is the toys are cheaper than some of the other hobbies I have. For the price of a bicycle tire, motorcycle tire or climbing shoes I can have a whole new hammock. Ever compare sail or tent prices to hammocks? No wonder it is taking over my mind.

The best part is, It causes me to sleep better and more comfortably than I can ever remember. Followed closely by the fact it makes my friends, family, and neighbors think I am crazier and more eccentric than they already suspected...

All the stuff i order i have sent to my office so the wife doesn't know i ordered it

It's the most addictive thing I've ever done! Probably because it's getting back to basics in life and allows you to reconnect with the real world, away from the TV. I get a feeling of accomplishment when I can leave most of my things i love behind, pack ultralight and travel in the piney woods with ease!

I like sleeping in the middle of no where... State parks are cool, trails are nice... But nothing beats the middle of no where sleeping like log, waking up to the sun rise, listening to nothing that's man made... And hammocks let you do it cheaper and smaller and a whole lot more comfortable than anything else... Until that virus gets a hold of you, then all price checks are out the window...

Still waking up this morning. While drinking my second cup of diet coke and thinking about this thread, it occurred to me that I spent yesterday afternoon watching all the Ramblinrev introduction to sewing videos and searching amazon and ebay looking at, gasp, sewing machines... I didn't think the seductive charms of a woman could make me do that. This virus is really out of control. I keep repeating to myself; I am not crafty, I am not crafty. I'm not sure that is going to work. I may really need help.

They are not sewing machines!!! They are cloth welders or thread injectors whichever word suits you best... And we aren't crafty, we just make gear... When you start making doileys, and wreaths then your crafty
