Awesome. I am into wool.
Lot of breathable merino wear in my closet.
But the Alpacka...I was wondering about blankets and sleeping bags and such.
Thanks!
......Any recommendations for where to get those??
Edit: Ahhh, you're saying get the blankets in Peru, before I leave, as a practical souvenir....I gotcha.
Been ill for the past seven years. You'll have to forgive me, lol.
And if you see any "local" hammocks for sale grab a few and throw them on pif as souvenirs from your jealousy causing trip. Btw, welcome to the forums from another north-Alabamian, living in Guam. Roll tide!

My forum name is Fish<><; I'm in the navy; and I hate sleeping on the ground. If I didn't need ground to walk on or measure resistance to, I think I could happily give it up.
Welcome aloft from SC, and a fellow HH Deep Jungle owner. You will love that hammock. You may want to convert it to whoopies before you depart. I have amsteel chainlinks on mine with tree straps and elephant trunks and it is a great setup. You can go with the marlin spike hitch system which ArrowHead has on sale right now. Good luck, and I am very envious of you. I'd love to go to Peru.

"No whining in the woods"
Thanks for all your warm welcomes, guys.
I'll be on my way to the Amazon in a couple weeks.
My stay will be at Nature's Hospital in an area of virgin rain forest, just outside of Iquitos, Peru.
I'll be on a journey of healing and request of nature. Integration and connection.
My stay will last all of one year, I hope. At least 7 months.
My intuition though, tells me I will not be coming back.
We'll see.
