    Greets from the Ozarks

Howdy y'all. 48 year old Navy vet from the SW Missouri area. I am interested in Bicycle Touring and stumbled onto hammocks in an effort to save weight and room and realized that this could be the answer to my back problems and my conventional bed.

So here I am reading and learning. Going to start building a stand in my bedroom and get rid of that S/M thing I have been sleeping on all these years and ordering a starting point hammock.

Happy to be here and love the community.

My back problems were solved by hammocks. I too cycle tour and I don't wake up sore anymore. Welcome to the forums!
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

    Thanks everyone.

Looking to order an ENO Doublenest as soon as I can figure out the stand. 13' is a very tight fit, whats the least space I can get away with?

Also, Lost Biker, I've decided to change things up a lot, I'm gearing up to start trying to build my own recumbent bike. Got a good start on a welding spot in the shop and going to start sparking this weekend I think.

Recumbent bikes in the cycling world are like hammocks in the camping world,,,comfortable , relaxing and fun. Recumbents are also fast as well.
