DIY Clark style tarp in brown sil

I finally finished my DIY Clark Style tarp. I had found some brown sil last year, and had begged a neighbor who sews to help me out on the design. Well, months later she hadn't started, so I had to take it in to my own hands. Talk about taking on a complicated project as a newbie sewer! Lots of angles in this thing. The seams are a little wobbly, but overall I like the result. I need to add a couple of tie outs for when the tarp is in the "closed" position for tension, and add some removable doors to the wide end of the tarp, but here it is:

    Final dimensions:
    Ridgeline: 113 inches
    W@Widest: 116 inches
    W@Narrowest: 96 inches
    Weight: 23 oz.

I know a lot of you are going to give me s*** about wasting brown sil making a Clark style tarp, but I like the way they look, I like the internal attachments for bug netting (no ridgeline required), and I like the way they pitch. And now, I have enough room to cook underneath if needed!

P.S. Thanks to JustJeff for the tarp tensioner instructions - I've been using them on all my tarps!

nice work! The Clark tarp made sense to me the first time after you explained it to me. Nice you can make one to suite your color and size preferences.

Thanks, Grizz. I know you questioned my for the Clark tarp, and I can't explain it well enough to convey my admiration for the design to those who question my sanity and taste. I also finally have a somewhat dependable sewing machine - I junked the other one. They wanted more to fix it than what I paid for it. The machine I'm using now is nothing fancy, but it gets the job done AND I know how to use it effectively. That makes all the difference.
