    Hammock Boat

Co-worker sent me this. Wasn't sure if it should go under general hammock talk or paddling. I love that it comes with its own tarp! (Click image for bigger picture.)

If I ever find the free time (), I have plans to make a floating hammock shanty. I just love the 'redneckness' of some of the DIY plans I've found for shanty houseboats. Build it so there are some posts extending through the roof and you can float around the lakes in your backwoods floating shanty while enjoying the sway of the hammock.

Awesome! Seems like some of these neat hanging pictures that keep popping up would certainly be members of our forums. If not, they should be

I like the shanty idea... Put a 100 horse Mercury on the back and I'll buy it... The whole thing screened in... Have the roof structural so you can use it for standing, fishing... Posts running up to the roof so on beautiful nights you could hang on top of it... Sounds like a helluva retreat...

We better hope Shug doesn't see your post Cannibal. There would be hammock ice fishing gone wild videos for us to watch all winter long.

I have to buy a banjo before I attempt to build that thing. Only seems appropriate.

The original picture qualifies as a pontammock in my opinion. Not sure where to put the cooler of beer though.

You could put a big wheel up on the roof to steer it with (or as alternate steering)... just for kicks and looks.
