Anyone ever try this? Seems like it would work.

Looks like it'd work, easily. Not a bad price, either.

Love how this works!!! I told Tim that he was gonna my order for my tq and no kidding just getting ready to leave work and thought hey that can be a uq too. Maybe get 2 of them. For their size and price (esp with extra fill ) I bet it be the best!
Guess that was my sign! Btw I already have a fronkey 3/4 diy but was thinking that one of these at 20 * w extra fill would be my winter uq. That way I have two sets of 3 season quilts. All I would need then would be a summer set from wl!!
It's not the boulders that throw us off balance, it's the pebbles beneath our feet
I grabbed two of these quilts in the first run he did when they were even cheaper. He didn't quite have the range of sizes and warmths at that stage but I got one in the wide and one in the minimum width. Both 6'6" long.
A couple of weeks ago I had a week off and used the hammock the whole time with the narrow quilt as my underquilt. This was my first time using any sort of underquilt too so it took me a few nights of fiddling to get it working well and there is still room for improvement but I was warm down to 0 deg C.
I just had shock cord running from each corner up to the ends of the hammock and used the draw cords at the top and bottom to snug it up against the hammock. Not being differential cut meant there was a big gap between the hammock and the underquilt but it seemed to work well enough once I snugged the ends up to stop drafts. I still needed to use some foam to cover my feet which it took me a few nights to figure out.
Only photo I got (check out the sucker in the foreground ):

Yes it works well. Great coverage and very warm at 42 deg, using my 20 deg rev.
I ordered one last week with the idea that I could use it as both a hammock underquit and as a top quilt in the enormo-tent when car camping with the wife.
