Hammock Bliss No-See-Um or Skeeter Beater Pro

I've decided to start using a hammock for camping and have narrowed it down to either the Hammock Bliss No-See-Um or the Travel Hammock Skeeter Beater Pro. Which one is better? I see that you can get a Skeeter Beater Pro with a tarp for $99. Is this a good tarp?

I have the Skeeter Beeter Pro and love the roominess of it. Which tarp is it? Ihave the Funy forest tarp by travel hammock and like it better than my Kelty Noah9.

I have the Skeeter Beeter Pro. I haven't had any problems with it. It can hold up to a lot of abuse. It's very roomy but that can also be a downside. Just the hammock itself is 10'6". It took me a while to find a tarp that would fit that long of a hammock. I ended up with the HH 70d Hex (which I like). Next year I think I'm going to find something smaller and easier to carry. Just an FYI.

Thanks for the information. The tarp is the Funky Forest tarp.

i ordered a HB on sale and they just sent me a net - I called them up and they said to mail it back at their expense and they'll send me the right thing - but I mentioned that the website now had it listed as out of stock, so I just sent it back for a refund.

Picked up a SBP at my local outfitters for a good price and am very happy with it. however I don't have anything to compare it too but the Travel Double.

I use the SB pro with a 10'x10' tarp from campmor. If you hang the 10x10 in a diamond configuration it gives you a lot of coverage and is more versatile in my opinion if you will likely only own one tarp.

If I buy another tarp though I'll go with the Big Rain fly or the Diamond rain fly from http://www.mosquitohammock.com/

Ive got the HB no see um that i pair with the 10x10 campmor tarp, its a great combo. I believe the price of those 2 are less than your other option. Even if price is not a factor, that combo has served me well on many trips.

I recently got an AWESOME deal on a SBPro + FFTarp + other goodies from REI. Love it, and so does my wife! (It was a gift for her.)
