I'd like to pick one of these up for some splicing work. I know that Joann's has them online, but would I be likely to find them in one of their b&m stores, and if so, what section of the store?
Thanks!

It's not the boulders that throw us off balance, it's the pebbles beneath our feet
They should be in the "Notions" department at Joann's. Best of luck!!

Surely, God could have made a better way to sleep.
Surely, God never did.
I found mine at wal mart, sewing section
I sure am glad I read this post. I've been looking all over the place for one of those "thingies" for splicing, but had no idea what they were called. Headed over to Michaels to get a "Loop Turner" tonight. Thanks!
So many trees, so little time!

FWIW, the "loop turner thingie" is a bodkin. WalMart's version is bulkier than some I've seen.

Is that true? I have what I think is a bodkin, and it's a big sewing needle with a large eye, and not as pointy. I use it for running drawstring through channels.
This is the loop turner that I bought.
