The calendar is open for that weekend at this time. I don't know what might land on it before then. I'll try to keep it open.
If I come I will bring the wheelbarrow and firewood.

So, I've never hung in cold weather before. Please let me know if you think the following would be adequate:
    -Poncho Liner UQ
    -Reflectix Pad
    -USGI ECWS Down/Synth Sleeping Bag

If need be, I also have the following:
    -AMK Emergency Bivy
    -AMK Space Blanket
    -Polar Fleece Sleeping Bag Liner

Any feed back would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I'd be a little concerned about your under insulation. The ECWS sleeping bag is good, and since we're car camping, I'd suggest you bring along the radiant pad and polar fleece liner just in case as well. (I may be using my old USGI ICW bag, along with a poncho liner and fleece sleeping bag liner myself)

It also all depends...last year, we saw nights in the upper 30s and lower 40s in December...but then the weekend we did the KC hang last year, both nights it got down to about 22 deg with some kickin' winds.

What kind of tarp do you have? If you can block winds and bring the tarp down to the ground, that can help a lot to make up for less insulation in/under the hammock.

Looking forward to meeting all the new folks, and renewing some friendships out there!

Awesome. I also have another fleecey poncho-like thing that I might be able to layer with the woobie. The tarp I'm using right now is a modified Coleman rain fly, approx. 7' x 9'.

Here it is in my living room.

Last year knowing what the wind forecast was, I selected a hang site back in the woods. I probably was back in the woods 50 or 60 feet. It also was a little on the lee side of the hill. I hardly noticed the wind. Site selection is critical when the wind is a problem. I also have a large rectangular tarp. When I expect wind, I point my feet to the wind and close down the foot end of the tarp. When I have done this I have very little problem with the wind.
