This looks to be a great forum for info
I do not have a hammock yet. I was looking at a Hennessey ,but now I'm thinking maybe a Warbonnet Black Bird 1.7 and superfly.
There is no lack of bugs in northern Ontario so I definitely will need a bug net.

Hi Alf233
I use to live in North Bay. Actually lived there over 20 years before moving to the west coast of BC.
I joined this site a couple years ago but have yet to try the hammock. I've always camped the traditional method which as most people know you generally wake up stiff and sore, with very little sleep. What intrigues me about this is, you are not usually restricted to a flat place to set up you tent. Just find a couple trees about the right distance apart and within minutes you are ready. Many advantages . I can foresee.
I will probably try making my own equipment and see how it goes. I have plenty of material on hand to make one.
