    Only about a week to go!

    Oh, crazy random request, if anyone knows how to make them -- I've always been curious about how to make a soda can stove -- I never have a shortage of soda cans Anyone care to teach me?
    There are different methods, but very easy.
    Tools- push pin, scissors, marker(sharpie), maybe penny or thumbscrew and 2 cans.
    -Mark base of both cans about 2-3 inches from bottom. Flip one over and push together the bases.
    -Make 8-16 holes with pin on either inside or outside rim(your choice)(experiment with all your cans).
    -Make a hole in top center for filling alcohol. Should be just large enough for thumb screw or use a penny to cover hole.
    -use a priming dish, light and enjoy.

    Very easy and may I say "youtube it". Have fun and good luck.
    Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

    I can be there.
    Let me know what you need for the stew.....

    I am really looking forward to this. It will be fun to look at everyone else's setups. Somehow reading descriptions and looking at pictures online doesn't really give me a clear understanding how some of the gear is used.

    Also, for anyone bringing food, don't forget the park has a pretty good raccoon population that isn't shy about raiding coolers even before it's really dark . I think I'll strap my cooler lid shut. I sure am glad we don't have to worry about bears in Texas...

    "Show and Tell" aka, Hammockergearoholic.

    Solution:
    1. admitting that one cannot control one's addiction or compulsion to hang;

    2. recognizing a higher power that can give strength- Cottage venders, the For Sale section, PIF, ect;

    3. examining past errors with the help of others by posting experiments, mistakes and successes with ample proof and pictorial evidence for review by experienced members;

    4. making amends for these errors- UQ, TQ, Tarps & things of such;

    5. learning to live a new life with a new code of behavior- owning at least 7 hammocks, options for each night; Full timer;

    6. helping others who suffer from the same addictions or compulsions- Excessive posting on HF about sales, new buys, the latest and greatest ham mocking related gear;

    Conclusion: Attend a group hang and repeat steps 1-6...

    Oh, I know I could youtube it....of course, one could say the same about making whoopie slings or pot cozies, or tying knots. It's one thing to learn from a video, but it's often more fun learning from a flesh and blood person. That's part of the benefit of going to a group hang, after all.
