First three nights in the trees

I've been lurking in this fourm for about 3 months now and bit the bullet and bought a ENO DN, EMS big 6 Foot print for my tarp, made some whoopie slings, tree straps and a ARL. My first night was a little restless could not get the lay right, Second night I slept for about 4.5 hrs since the yotes were out in full force and I still could not get the lay right. I was laying on an angle to the right, the third night laying to the left I slept much better. I did wake a couple of times because the wind was blowing about 35-40 mph and my tarp flaped a bit, Temp was about 85 degrees when I went to sleep. I slept like a baby with the wind lulling me during the night. I think I'm going to like this new way of sleeping. Thanks to everyone for the amount of knowledge on this fourm that made my first venture of hanging in the trees so great.

Hello and welcome from Florida. hang in there. Took me several trips before I finally tweaked everything to get the best lay. Ironically, now that I have my setup perfect I'm looking at upgrading to a better rig and going through it all over again. Welcome to the addiction.

Welcome to the forums. Sounds like you had a good first outing. Once you get it figured out, nothing will wake you from the deep, sound sleep you will be enjoying!
