Another note. The full length channel down the sides for the shock cord suspension is fine. I don't regret it now that I've played with it and slept in it.

It's not necessary, but while in the hammock I can adjust the quilt easily to work with my lay.

Also after using it, it doesn't really droop towards the center at all. I think that was just a perception I had. It stays where you put it.

So, corner ties would save some weight and materials, but the full length channel works fine and dandy.

GF says it looks like a pickle.

You are definitely ready for the next annual Minnesota Frozen Butt Hang! The only problem that I can see is that you may have people wanting to crawl in there with you!

    Thanks!

    Hehe... about 3-1/2 inches.

I got a little happy with the down.

I'm wanting to build a top quilt. I picked up some KMart pillows too, and your post has me ready to order fabric from diygearsupply. I'm a little intimidated by the thread injector though. How much experience have you had using one of those?

I've had a fair amount of experience but I'm certainly not an expert!

This is the most involved thing I've made I think. Really the sewing isn't so hard there's just a lot of it. Most of the difficulty is in the planning stage and CatSplat's spreadsheet eased my mind a lot on that front.

Don't tell anybody, but this took me several weeks to do... Not weeks of work, but poking at it now and then, scratching my head and the eventual IPA break to watch beach volleyball.

If you have specific questions I know any number of folks will pipe up with answers, including me.

As one old friend of mine used to say, "Ain't nothing to it but to do it!"
