Basically yes...I always have some insulation in the hammock..

even in the tropics I wrapped myself in a poncho liner, that way I had a bit insulation under me and I feel something on top of me (I need to feel something oon me, a sarong, sheeth or thicker...)

Guess I acclimatize easy too. Both to cold and hot weather....

    But.... ymmv, so hyoh

I agree with sidewinder and like dejoria I live in arizona but I'm in the south, low desert and when I hike the mountain near me. It can be 90-95 in the day then 35-50 at night so I always have my 20 degree phoenix with me and being a dirt weasel we hate being cold.

Another one here that doesn't leave without it.
I may not use it, but it's always at the ready.

i always bring insulation, even when its 80 here in oregon the nights get pretty cold. a few nights a year might be warm enough to go without.

I always bring insulation as well, it can get pretty chilly even in the middle of a summer night, especially if you choose a good location to catch the breezes.

Here's another one who always brings a UQ. My IX Shamu is always attached to the WBBB and everything just gets stuffed in the same sack. It hasn't happened yet, but if the temps at night are too high, I can always just push the UQ to one side. I'm a cold sleeper anyway so I never go without a UQ.

About 70 to 75 I use no insulation, but sleep in sweat pants and Under Armour leggings. So far, below 70 I've rigged a sleeping bag or old blanket as an underquilt. But I've just gotten a PLUQ ready to go. That should keep me toasty down into the upper 50's I hope! I'm a little on the cold-natured side.
